Editorial | Amy O

Amy O started as the solo project of Amy Oelsner in 2004, and has evolved over the years into a full band in Bloomington, Indiana. I had the opportunity to photograph her for the cover of her incredible new album Elastic which was designed in collaboration with Aaron Lowell Denton. This record involved so many talented people from Bloomington and I loved contributing in a small way.

"Elastic ultimately is an album about learning to live in your own inescapable skin—a challenge that defines not just Amy O’s life, but everybody’s existence. Identifying that universal truth has shaped her into an exciting and insightful artist, one who is no longer making music for herself but is working to command whatever stage she steps onto." - Stephen Deusner

"We combine lifestyle with work, think about form and function, design based on everyday inspiration, and combine pragmatism with creativity." - Audi Culver

I had the pleasure of photographing two of my friends and favorite furniture designers for Lonny Mag. If you're not already following the work Audi & Ivy create, I highly recommend that you do!

Editorial | PRINTtEXT for Driftless Magazine

For those who don't know, I'm the editor and co-creative director of Driftless Magazine — an ad-free, self-published magazine about the Midwest. Ben and Janneane Blevins have been supporters of our publication from the start. They own the beautiful periodical shop PRINTtEXT in Indianapolis and I had the absolute pleasure of interviewing and photographing them for Issue 7 of Driftless. These two are kind and creative, inspiring and supportive, and I have loved getting to know them over the past few years. You can purchase Issue 7 online to read the full interview, but I highly recommend stopping by their amazing shop, meeting them (and their pups Huckleberry and Katie), and perusing their collection of print.

Portraits | Shelly Westerhausen of Vegetarian 'Ventures

Shelly runs the acclaimed Vegetarian 'Ventures food blog, posting delicious vegetarian and vegan recipes and the most stunning food photos. She recently finished a cookbook about adventuring in the Midwest through vegetarian cooking. It will be out in the Spring and I can't wait to read it. Please take a look at her blog and enjoy some of these incredible recipes. (This is one of my favorites!)
